Instructions: Cut up the broccoli into florets. Peel the tough stems and cut them up into small pieces.
Put the broccoli in a saucepan with the water, oil, garlic and salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes until the broccoli is just cooked and bright green. Turn up the heat and cook until the water evaporates, a couple of minutes. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes, if desired. This is quite low in fat and very tasty.
