Instructions: Rinse the beans and soak in the water for 10 to 12 hours.
Bring to a boil in the same water the beans have been soaked in add salt and cook covered for 2 to 2 3/2 hours. Season to taste with vinegar and syrup. When a pressure cooker is used reduce the water to 1 liter and cook for 25 to 30 minutes. Email this Recipe:
