Instructions: In medium saucepan, bring 1/2 cup water to a boil. Add 1/4 cup bulgur; reduce heat, cover, and simmer 10 to15 minutes. Remove from heat. Let it stand, while cutting shortening into dry ingredients.
Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in the shortening (criss-cross two knives or use back of fork.) Stir in milk and bulgur. Turn out on lightly-floured board; knead 10 times. Pat or roll out about 1/2" in thickness. Cut with floured biscuit cutter or a knife into 2" squares. Bake on greased sheets in 375 oven about 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Email this Recipe:
