Instructions: 1. Heat oil in a heavy medium saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add bulgur, onion, celery, garlic and herbs [sage, thyme, and marjoram], and saute for 5 to 8 minutes or until the vegetables are softened. 3. Stir in beef stock (or water) and bay leaf. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and bulgur is tender but still chewy.
