Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
1/3 cup water (75 to 80 degrees)
3 cup white bread flour
1/3 cup cracked wheat
1/3 cup dry buttermilk
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tbl sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbl butter at room temperature
2 tsp rapid rise yeast
(or 1 tbspn active dry yeast)
Instructions:
Instructions: Put all ingrediets into bread pan EXCEPT poppy seeds according to your manufacturers directions. Select regular, rapid or delayed cycle and light crust setting.

After the first beep or towards the end of the first knead, add the poppy seeds, following your bread machines directions for raisin bread. Bake and cool as directed.

This recipe yields a 1 1/2 pound loaf.

Comments: Recipe not appropriate for delayed bake cycle if using fresh buttermilk.
