3/4 cup buttermilk
1 tsp salt
2 tbl sugar
4 tbl butter
1 lrg egg plus
1 x egg yolk
3 cup bread flour - (to 3 1/2 cups)
1/8 tsp granulated garlic
1/2 tsp instant yeast - (to 2 tspns)
Instructions:
Instructions: * Note: Cut cheese into 1/4" size dice and keep in a container in the freezer until ready to add to dough.

Place all ingredients, except cheese, in the bread pan in the order recommended by your machines manufacturer. Process on the Dough cycle.

Add diced cheese at Add In Beeps; but do not let machine complete the cycle - stop the machine, once all the cheese is incorporated. Then let the dough r Rise again and bake large 9- by 5-inch loaf, or 12- by 4-inch loaf, or 8 generous rolls in 325 degree oven - 40 minutes for loaves or 25 minutes for rolls. Higher oven temperature will overbrown this dough. Cool completely on rack.

This recipe yields a 1 1/2 pound loaf.
