Instructions: Preheat oven to 350. Stir together sugar and corn meal in mixing bowl.
Add eggs, butter, buttermilk, and vanilla; blend well. Pour filling into pastry shell. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted one inch from center comes out clean. Do not overbake. Pie will continue to set as it cools. Cool on wire rack. NOTE: Buttermilk Pie is wonderful when bake in a Press N Bake Cream Cheese Crust. This pie is also delicious refrigerated and served cold.
