Instructions: Cream shortening and sugar. Add vanilla and eggs. Sift together dry ingredients. Then add alternately with sour cream. Add nuts. Use 1/2 cup more flour if needed. Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and frost.

Brown Butter Icing:
Brown butter; pour over sugar, then add water and vanilla. Mix.
