1/2 cup evaporated milk or light cream
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 tsp butter or margarine
1 tsp vanilla or
Instructions:
Instructions: In 4 cup measure, combine evaporated milk, brown sugar and butter. Cook uncovered 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in vanilla; cool slightly. Serve in fondue pot or warmer dish at the table with fruits, cake or cookies to dip into the sauce.

Makes 1 1/3 cups.

This sauce is good for fondue, ice cream or spice cakes and puddings. Keeps well in the refrigerator for quick reheating in the jar.
