I CAN DICED TOMATOES IN JUICE OR 2 LG.FRESH TOMATOES
2 x CLOVES GARLIC FINELY CHOPPED OR MORE
2 qt WATER
2 tsp CUMIN
4 sm POTATOES,PEELED AND DICED
1/2 lb DANDELION GREENS OR OTHER SPRING GREENS
OR FRESH SPINACH, (CAN USE MORE)CHOPPED INTO BITE SIZE
PIECES,HAVE USED FROZEN SPINACH TOO
1/2 cup ANY KIND OF CHOPPED ONION

SAUTE ONION, CHORIZO AND HAM TILL SLIGHTLY BROWNED, ADD RINSED CHICK PEAS AND REST OF INGREDIENTS EXCEPT GREENS. BRING TO BOIL. THEN SIMMER FOR ABOUT 1-2 HOURS DEPENDING HOW HUNGRY YOU ARE. ABOUT 10 MIN. BEFORE SERVING STIR IN WASHED AND SORTED GREENS.SERVE WITH NICE HOT CRUSTY BREAD OR PITAS. FOR THOSE WHO LIKE IT HOT RED PEPPER FLAKES AND OR HOT SAUCE IS GREAT!

Thanks to my friend Summer for this way to use my "weeds". As I recall this would feed about 4-6 people depending upon their appetites and whatever else you are serving... its great with a chunky bread to dunk in the broth!
