Instructions: Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Add dry ingredients alternately with applesauce and beat. Add remaining ingredients and mix.

Bake in a greased 13 x 9 x 3 inch pan in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.

Cool in pan and sift confectioners sugar lightly over the top
