Instructions: Heat until sugar is dissolved. Tint with food coloring. Cook until it reaches hard crack stage (300 ) Set syrup over boiling water and plunge prepared apples into syrup. Set to harden on greased cookie sheet, foil, or parchment paper. For caramel apples, I just use the melted Kraft caramels. Recipe on package.
