Instructions: Cook beans in boiling water until tender, about 30 minutes. Drain well.
Prepare the sauce: Dice onions and olives. Heat oil in a pan and fry onion and garlic gently until softened. Add the anchovies, tomatoes, tomato paste, water, olives, basil, sugar and salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes or until sauce is thick. Add the beans and stir through to coat.
