Instructions: In a heavy medium saucepan, combine half and half, espresso or coffee powder, and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Discard cinnamon sticks. Add chocolate and whisk until melted. Add brandy, if desired. Ladle into mugs and top with whipped cream. Garnish with cinnamon sticks.
