1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 lrg green apples (peeled, cored and sliced)
2 tbl brandy or Cognac
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

IN frying pan, melt the butter. Add sugar and stir until mixed. Add apples and stir until apples are coated with caramel. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook for 3 minutes. Serve hot with whipped cream, if desired.
