Instructions: Grease a 20cm X 30cm rectangular slice pan. Place a strip of baking paper to cover the base of the pan and to extend over two opposite sides.
Combine muesli, All-Bran, chopped peanuts and saltanas in a bowl and mix well. In a medium pan combine butter, milk, sugar and syrup. Bring to the boil and stir constantly for 10 minutes or until the mixture thickens and turns a deep caramel colour. Pour caramel quickly into muesli mixture and mix well. Press mixture into prepared pan and smooth the top with a wet spatula. Sprinkle the top with crushed nuts and press down firmly. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
