1/2 lb round steak or other boiling meat
2 tsp oil or fat of choice
1/2 cup New Mexican red chile powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp Mexican oregano
1 clv garlic, peeled and chopped
3 lrg potatoes, peeled and cubed
Instructions:
Instructions: Remove the fat from the meat and boil it whole in water until almost tender. Remove from the water and cut it into small cubes. Fry the cubes in fat or oil until brown, then remove from the fire. Add chile powder and seasonings to the pan, then add the meat stock or tomatoes.

Simmer for 1/2 hour.
