Instructions: Cook onion in fat in large pan until tender. Combine all vegetables and bring to simmer. Drain vegetables, saving liquid (add water to make 2 cups). Combine vegetables with onions, add meats, season to taste, and bring just to boil.
This makes a thinner (and in my opinon, less flavorful) stew but its a fairly good place to start. Email this Recipe:
