Ingredients:

2 lb lean stew meat (venison)
1/2 cup suet or shortening
4 cup chopped peeled cored apples
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup currants chopped
1/2 cup sugar
3 cup pie cherries pitted
1/2 pt strong cold coffee
1 pt cider
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
6 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1 tbl mace
Instructions:
Instructions: Cook meat until tender. In large pan, add all ingredients except meat and simmer for 30 minutes. Add meat and stir well.

This recipe yields 4 quarts.
