Instructions: Cream sugar, shortening and margarine. Add eggs, beat after each addition.

Add remaining ingredients. Pour into greased tube or loaf pans and place in a cold oven. Set temperature to 350 F and bake for 1 hour and 45 minutes without opening oven door until time is done. Remove from pan immediately.

Makes 2 loaves. If using glass pans, dont bake for quite as long.
