3 x apples peeled, chopped
2 cup shredded cheddar cheese - (8 oz)
1 can refrigerated flaky biscuits - (12 oz)
1/2 cup light brown sugar - (packed)
1/4 tsp apple pie spice
1/4 cup maple syrup plus
3 tbl maple syrup divided
1 x egg lightly beaten
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 pkt cream cheese - (3 oz) softened
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Coat an 8-inch square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Sprinkle half of the apples and half of the cheddar cheese over the bottom of the baking dish, spreading evenly.

Separate the biscuit dough into individual biscuits; cut each biscuit into four pieces. Arrange the pieces over the apple and cheese mixture. Top evenly with the remaining apples and cheese.

In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, apple pie spice, 1/4 cup maple syrup, and the egg; mix well. Stir in the nuts. Spoon over the apples and cheese and bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until golden and cooked through. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.

In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, confectioners sugar, and remaining 3 tablespoons maple syrup; whisk until smooth and pourable. Drizzle over the coffee cake. Cut, and serve warm.
