Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef
1 med onion sliced
2 lrg green bell peppers cut in 1" pieces
2 x cloves garlic finely chopped
2 cup water
2 x 14 1/2 oz cans diced tomatoes in olive
oil, garlic, and
spices undrained
1 x 6 oz can tomato paste
2 cup mafalda (mini-lasagna noodles) pasta 4 oz
1 tbl brown sugar packed
1/2 tsp italian seasoning crumbled
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 cup italian style croutons
Instructions:
Instructions: Dont let the list of ingredients fool you! This family-favorite soup may look involved, but its really a snap to put together.

1. Cook beef, onion, bell peppers and garlic over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown and onion is tender; drain.

2. Stir in water, diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Stir in brown sugar, Italian seasoning and pepper.

3. Put in Crockpot. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. About one hour before serving put the cooked noodles in the Crockpot with other ingredients.

4. Top with croutons. Sprinkle with cheese.

Original Posters Notes: ENJOY! This has become a family favorite. My kids ask me to make this.It can be doubled(which I do at times).
