Instructions: Heat the butter and oil in a saute pan. Add the onions and saute over medium heat, stirring often, until tender and slightly golden. Then add the garlic and saute briefly. Add the tomato sauce and bring to a simmer. Cook for 10 minutes to blend flavors. Remove from the heat and let cool. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, ricotta, parmesan, parsley, chives, basil and eggs. Season with salt & pepper. Stir in three-quarters of the spaghetti sauce mixture and mix well. Add the cooked pasta and the mozzarella cheese and combine.
Pour the mixture into a casserole dish and top with the remaining sauce and parmesan cheese. Cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until heated through. Serves 6 hungry eaters. Email this Recipe:
