Ingredients:

3 cup flour, self-raising
1/2 tsp salt
45 gm butter
1 cup milk
----------------- FILLING: ----------------
60 gm butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sultanas
1/2 cup currants
60 gm glace cherries, red
60 gm mixed peel
1 tsp cinnamon, ground
----------------- GLAZE: ----------------
1 tbl water
1 tbl sugar (caster)
Instructions:
Instructions: Sift flour and salt in bowl, rub in butter lightly. Mix to firm dough with milk. Roll dough out to 30cm x 23cm oblong. Cream butter and brown sugar together, spread over dough.

Sprinkle with fruit and cinnamon. Roll up lengthways. Cut into 10 thick slices. Pack into greased 20cm sandwich tin, cut side down. Bake in moderate oven 25 to 30 minutes. Brush bun with glaze while still hot.

Glaze:
Put ingredients in small saucepan, stir over low heat until sugar and gelatine have dissolved.

Serve with afternoon tea.
