Instructions: 1 Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

2 In a mixing bowl, combine the shortening, sugar and hot water. Allow to cool; add yeast to lukewarm water (110 degrees) and dissolve.

3 Add the egg and salt; mix well.

4 Add the flour; mix well and allow to double in size.

5 Place dough into greased muffin tins and allow to double in size again.

6 Bake for 10 minutes or until brown on top.

Makes 6 to 8 rolls
