Instructions: Mix sugar, margarine flour and walnuts. Press into bottom of 9x13x2-inch baking dish. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. Then crumble all and take out 1/2 cup for top of dessert. Pour 2 cans cherry pie filling over crumbs.
Add 1 cup powdered sugar to whipped topping. Beat together. Beat cream cheese and add 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Beat. Then mix together whipped topping and cream cheese. Spread over cherries. Sprinkle reserved crumbs over top of topping layer. Serve. This dessert keeps well and can be made the day before it needs to be served. Email this Recipe:
