1 x recipe for a two crust pie
1/2 cup pitted sour cherries
3/4 cup white sugar
3 tbl all-purpose flour
1 tbl butter or margarine

1. Line a 9 inch pie plate with pastry.

2. Mix sugar, flour, and salt; toss with cherries, mixing well. Pour cherry filling into pie shell, and dot with butter or margarine.

3. Weave strips of pastry into a lattice top.

4. Bake at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) for 40 minutes.

Makes 1 pie

This recipe uses real cherries, not the canned variety.
