Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, brown sugar, and salt; cut in butter with a pastry blender or two knives, until crumbly. Set aside 1 cup crumb mixture; press remaining mixture onto bottom of 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake 15 minutes. Cool slightly while preparing topping.
In a saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Stir in pineapple and egg yolks. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens and bubbles. Remove from heat; stir in cherries. Spread evenly over baked crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Bake 30 minutes. Cool before cutting into bars. Email this Recipe:
