Instructions: Spread the undrained pineapple in the bottom of a buttered 9x13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with the sugar. Cover with the cherry pie filling.
Sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the cherries. Drizzle with the melted butter. Sprinkle with the pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Note: I almost didnt include this recipe because it is so simple. It is the only dessert we prepare at lunch for which we use a mix.
