2 x 15 oz cans garbanzo beans
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats, uncooked
1 x clove garlic, minced
Instructions:
Instructions: Drain garbanzo beans, reserving liquid. In a food processor or blender, process beans with about 1/2 cup liquid, adding more liquid if needed to make a smooth, thick paste. In a medium mixing bowl, combine bean paste, oats, garlic, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well, adding additional bean liquid or oats as necessary to make a mixture that holds together well and keeps its shape.

Shape mixture into 8 patties about 1/2-inch thick. Spray a 12-inch nonstick skillet with vegetable cooking spray. Heat skillet over medium-high heat. Add patties and cook until golden brown on each side, about 5 minutes.

Makes 8
servings.

Helpful Hint: You can also serve patties with potatoes, cranberry sauce and steamed vegetables.
