Instructions: Place chilies, onion and garlic in sauce pan and cover with 5 cups of water. Bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer until pepper soften.
About 15 minutes. Remove chiles, onion and garlic from pan with slotted spoon and place in food processor. Add brown sugar, tomato paste and cumin along with one (1) cup of the water they were simmered in. Puree until smooth. Add more of the simmering water if who want it less thick. Taste, add salt, black pepper or more sugar to taste. Spoon into jar and refrigerate. Keeps about two months. A great condiment for onion rings. Email this Recipe:
