Instructions: Cut apples in half and core. Add sugar and red hots to boiling water with food coloring. Melt red-hot. Add apples and cook until apples are tender, turning frequently. Place in refrigerator and cool.
NOTES : My grandmothers own recipe that she used to make every time she had us over for Friday dinner. We absolutely loved it. This is the closest approximation to her recipe that I have been able to come up with. Email this Recipe:
