Instructions: If you have never tried Chipotle [chih-POHT-lay] peppers that have been smoked, heres your chance. As well as adding the heat, these peppers add a pleasant smoked flavor.
1. In a Dutch oven cook onion and garlic in hot oil over medium-high heat about 4 minutes or until tender. Add chicken; cook for 2 minutes. Stir in chicken broth, chipotle peppers, sugar, and salt. 2. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in the tomatoes and the snipped cilantro.
