Instructions: Beat sugar and butter together until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla and mix well.
Beat in the half-and-half; add chocolate, and beat well. Pour into pie shell and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Reduce heat to 300 degrees and bake 30 to 40 minutes longer or until pie is set. Test for doneness, and cook longer if needed. Let cool; then decorate with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. (Note: The pie puffs up during cooking, then falls as it cools.) Email this Recipe:
