8 to 10 slices
Ingredients:

110 gm wholemeal flour
110 x plain white flour
3 tsp baking powder
110 gm butter or margarine at room temperature
110 gm soft brown sugar
2 x eggs beaten
4 tbl milk
2 tbl clear honey
50 gm chopped walnuts
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat oven to gas mark 4 350F180C
You will also need a 900g loaf tin greased and lined.

First sieve the flours and baking powder into a mixing bowl and then add the bits of bran remaining in the sieve.

Rub in the butter to the crumbly stage and then add the sugar eggs milk and honey and beat the mixture well.

Lastly stir in the walnuts and chocolate chips and then pour the mixture into the prepared tin.

Bake for 11 1/4 hours until firm to the touch.

Leave it to cool in the tin for 15 minutes before turning out.

Allow to cool completely before slicing.

Makes 8 to 10 slices
