Instructions: Almost a candy, these are chewy, not too sweet but very chocolaty.

Preheat the oven to 300F. Grease cookie sheets very well.

Heat the sweetened condensed milk and the chocolate together in a small pot over simmering water until the chocolate has melted. Remove from the heat and stir in the coconut, pecans, vanilla and salt.

Arrange by teaspoonfuls on the cookie sheets and bake for about 15 minutes, taking care that the bottoms do not burn.

Makes 40.
