Instructions: Melt shortening and chocolate in double boiler. Add sugar, mix. Stir in eggs, vanilla, flour and salt. Mix. Remove from heat. Add optional chopped nuts.

Spread in greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake in hot oven 400 degrees about 18 min. Cool.

Spread with fudge frosting and trim with walnut halves, if desired.

Makes 32 pieces.
