Instructions: I just tried my favorite chocolate fudge pound cake recipe this weekend in a low fat version and it turned out wonderful. Here it is for all of you chocoholics.
PLEASE NOTE: I HAVE MADE IT BY NOT FOLLOWING THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY AND HAVE BEEN DISAPPOINTED. THE TIMING IS VERY IMPORTANT AS THE CAKE COMES OUT VERY FINE TEXTURED AND PERFECT ONLY IF YOU FOLLOW THE TIMING EXACTLY. Mix flour and sugar. Cut in 1/2 cup nonfat yogurt.. Add: cocoa, water and 1/3 cup nonfat yogurt. Beat 5 minutes at medium speed on mixer. CHILL 1 HOUR MINIMUM. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. Beat 1 minute. Add 2 egg whites and beat 1 minute. Add 2 egg whites and beat 1 minute. Add 2 egg whites and beat 1 minute. Add vanilla and beat 2 minutes. Add baking powder and beat 2 minutes. Pour into greased pan that has been dusted with cocoa, tube, bundt, loaf, etc. Bake 1 hour 45 minutes approximately in preheated 300 degree oven. Email this Recipe:
