Instructions: Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Butter an 8 inch square baking pan.
Melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler over simmering water. Using an electric mixer on medium speed, beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla until thick and pale yellow, 5 to 10 minutes. Gradually stream the melted chocolate into the egg mixture while beating. Fold the flour into the batter, then pour into the prepared pan. Sprinkle macadamia nuts on top. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out almost clean. Cool. Cut into 12 bars. Top with vanilla ice cream before serving, if you wish. Note: Use real butter or stick margarine. Do not substitute reduced-fat spreads; their higher water content often yields less-satisfactory results. Email this Recipe:
