Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
1 stk butter
30 lrg marshmallows
2 tsp green food coloring
1 tsp vanilla
Instructions:
Instructions: Cook over medium to medium-high heat until all marshmallows are melted and everything is dark green (no white left at all). I put all ingredients in a flat bottomed pan and stir with a pancake turner while it boils up, so I can constantly scrape along the bottom of the pan (otherwise it sticks and scorches or burns). Take from heat and stir in 3 1/2 cups of Kelloggs Corn Flakes (dont substitute another brand). Stir, stir and stir until all the corn flakes are completely coated with green. This takes a while and you think it will not coat them all, but keep stirring. Drop by spoonful on waxed paper or foil that has been sprayed with Pam (cooking spray). While they are still hot and sticky, put 3 red hots on each clump of holly. Let set at least overnight. DO NOT COVER these cookies. You can double the recipe, but be sure to double the food coloring, or you will have light green holly cookies, instead of the dark, shiny green ones! Also, if you double recipe, add 3-4 more marshmallows.
