You can divide ingredients into 2 smaller casseroles and freeze one, either baked or unbaked. Procedure: Break up the hash browns before opening the package. In a large bowl, mix frozen hash browns with soup, sour cream and optional onion. Spread in a large casserole dish. Bake at 375 degrees for 1-1/2 to 2 hours. During the last 20 minutes, sprinkle grated cheese on top. (Because hash browns are frozen, this dish takes longer than you might think to bake.) Email this Recipe:
