Instructions: When the moon was bright
Just one hour left
Before midnight
I sat at the keyboard,
Eyes filled with tears
Thinking of friends
Come and gone through the years
So many Ive found

Through the chat rooms online
Whove left many a footprint
On this heart of mine
Strange how sometimes
People Ive never seen
Have come into my life
Through this little machine
Theyve touched me, and shaped my life in little ways
Theyve been there for me

Through the darkest of days
Theyve shared with me their joys, and sometimes their fears
Theyve shared in my laughter and wiped away tears
I looked at the clock, and the lights on the tree
Then back to the friends

On the screen before me
Most likely, Id not see
Their faces in person
Their presence, that Christmas
In my heart was certain
One feeling I had then, and have yet today
Is a wish for my friends
For a good holiday
The old year is ending
The new shall soon start
Merry Christmas to all
