1/2 cup cinnamon red-hot candies
1/2 cup sugar
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine all the ingredients in a large pot, bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 50 to 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

This recipe yields 4 servings.

Comments: Adjust the cooking time to get the texture you like - for chunky applesauce, cook it less, for smooth applesauce, cook it more. And if your apples arent really juicy, you may need to add a bit more water during the simmering to prevent scorching.
