Instructions: Before you start: Wash your hands thoroughly with hot, soapy water.
Thaw dough at room temperature for a few hours or overnight in the refrigerator. Shape dough into a round ball and flatten slightly. Place in a greased 9-inch round layer pan. Let rise in warm place until doubled, about 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. With thumb or index finger, punch holes in dough. Combine butter, sugars, flour and vanilla. Fill each hole with this mixture. Continue to punch holes in dough and fill until all of the mixture is used. Sprinkle top with cinnamon and nuts, if using. Bake immediately for about 30 minutes, or until golden brown and loaf sounds hollow when tapped. Immediately remove from pan. Serve warm. Makes 1 coffeecake Email this Recipe:
