Instructions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Combine all ingredients for the Spread in a small bowl. Smear spread generously on one side of each slice of Texas toast or on the face of each half of French bread loaf. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese begins to brown and bubble. This recipe yields about 12 slices toast or two large halves of French bread. Comments: Claim Jumper restaurants may only be located in the west, but the chain can claim national recognition for its delicious garlic cheese bread and toast thats served on the side with your meal. Thats because you can often find the tasty stuff in the frozen food section of your local supermarket. But if youve got a little time to make some of your own, it wont take much work. Just whip up a spread from these basic ingredients, then apply generously to thick sliced "Texas toast" bread, or onto the face a fresh French loaf. Crank up the oven and prepare yourself for a trip to taste bud heaven. Yield: 12 slices Email this Recipe:
