4 x eggs
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 cup warm milk
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
4 slc bread, toasted and
buttered, (4 to 5)
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 F.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar. Stir in the warm milk and the vanilla. Break the toast into pieces and soak in the milk mixture for at least 20 minutes. Sprinkle the nutmeg on the top and stir to combine.

Pour the mixture into a 2-quart casserole dish and place in a shallow pan of water. Bake for 30 or 45 minutes, or until the pudding has puffed.

Remove and let stand for 5 minutes. Serve warm.

YIELD: 6 To 8 SERVINGS
