Peel onion and stud with cloves. Place onion, bay leaf and milk in saucepan. Bring to the boil. Turn off heat and leave milk to infuse for 20 minutes. Mix in breadcrumbs, butter, salt and pepper. Simmer gently for 10 minutes. Remove onion and bayleaf and serve. Email this Recipe:
