1 cup Sugar softened
1/2 cup Cocoa
1 tsp Vanilla
Or whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp Salt
Ch colate frosting
2 tbl Margarine or butter
2 cup Powdered sugar omit
2/3 cup Margarine or butter
1 x Egg
1/3 cup Buttermilk
3/4 cup All-purpose flour *
1/2 tsp Baking soda
1 cup Chopped nuts
2 oz Unsweetened chocolate
3 tbl Water
if using self-rising flour
Instructions:
Instructions: Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix, sugar, margarine, egg, cocoa, buttermilk and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt and nuts. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart into ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until almost no indentation remains when touched; cool. Frost with Chocolate Frosting. ABOUT 4-1/2 DOZEN COOKIES; 95 CHOCOLATE FROSTING Heat chocolate and margarine over low heat until melted. Remove from heat. Stir in water and powdered sugar until smooth.
