Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 400 F. Lightly grease two baking sheets.
grease the bottom of a glass and dip in sugar 2. Spread the oats and coconut on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until golden brown,stirring occasionally 3. With electric mixer cream butter or margarine and both sugars until light fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add milk and vanilla extract. Sift over the dry ingredients and fold in. Stir in the oats and coconut. 4. Drop spoonfuls of dough1 -2 inches apart on the baking sheets and flatten with the glass. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Makes 18.
