1/2 cup Butter, (1 stick)
2 tbl Cocoa
1/4 cup Milk
1/2 cup Butter, (1 stick)
1/2 cup Shortening
1/2 cup Strong brewed coffee
1/2 cup Kahlua, tia maria, or any
Type of coffee liqueur
2 cup All purpose flour
2 cup Granulated sugar
1/4 cup Cocoa
1/2 cup Buttermilk
2 x Eggs
1 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp Vanilla
1/2 cup Unsifted powdered sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

For frosting: in saucepan, combine butter, cocoa & milk. Bring to a boil. Stir in vanilla & powdered sugar until frosting reaches proper consistency. Brownies: in another saucepan, combine butter, shortening, coffee & liqueur. Stir, let boil. In a large mixing bowl, mix the flour & sugar. Pour butter-shortening over the flour & sugar in bowl. Add the buttermilk, eggs, baking soda & vanilla. Pour into well buttered 17&1/2-by-11-in. Jelly roll pan. Bake until brownies test done in center. Frost brownies immediately. Garnish with espresso beans. Let cool until ready to eat, then cut into bars to serve.
